In order to assist show organizers in connecting with global markets through our extensive network, we have expanded our services to become the first tradeshow and event management & marketing agency to design and implement sales and marketing outsourced programs, create strategies, promote events, sell floor space, design and build exhibition booths, and arrange sponsorships.

OUR HISTORY

Skyline Middle East began in 1998 when Abdul Wahed Ahmed contacted Skyline Exhibits to express his desire to represent Skyline in the Gulf Region. He traveled to Minnesota, where Skyline is headquartered, and that’s where he met Elizabeth DeLuca, the company’s International Marketing and Business Development Manager.  She was impressed by Abdul’s expertise, credentials, and entrepreneurial spirit and signed an agreement to have him represent Skyline in the Middle East. That’s when Skyline Middle East became a member of Skyline’s global network of 110 offices and 30 countries around the world.

Throughout the years, Abdul Wahed and his team established a thriving company that worked with many high-profile clients including Bahrain Petrolum Company BAPCO, Aramco, Tasnee, Sipchem, Zamil Group, Bahrain Development Board BDB, Batelco, Zain, Electricity & Water Authority, Saudi Electricity, Kingdom Holding, National Bank Of Bahrain, Saudi American Bank, Bank Of Bahrain and Kuwait, Ministry of Municipality, Arcapita and many more.

In 2020, as the COVID pandemic swept the globe and halted trade fairs and events, Abdul Wahed Ahmed made a strategic decision to expand Skyline Middle East’s services to include overseas sales, business development, international marketing, public relations services, trade fairs and event management and professional training and coaching, Partnering in this expansion with Liz Deluca to build a global promotional network for the marketing of trade fairs & sales Outsourcing services to provide the opportunity for all exhibition organizers in different countries of the world to sale, promote and marketing their exhibitions in markets that were challenging for them to reach consumers without the services of this alliance thanks to outsourcing services.

Budgets were cut, and the trend at many companies was to do more with less, so outsourcing made sense because it saves time, reduces costs, and gives you access to specialized sales experts with global reach.

BIO OF ABDUL WAHED AHMED

Entrepreneur Business StrategistGlobal Sales, Marketing, & Event Management Leader Publisher

Abdul Wahed Ahmed has extensive experience in sales, advertising, and publishing. He joined Al Hilal Publishing in 1987 as Sales Manager for both the Bahrain and Saudi (Eastern Province) markets, where he promoted several publishing titles and exhibition services for 12 years, leading the company to a faster growth phase with up to 700% revenue upheaval, positioning Al Hilal Publishing as the regional leader in private publishing business locally and internationally.

He joined the Skyline Global Network in 1998 and founded Skyline Middle East in Manama, Bahrain, to extend Skyline’s global services in the GCC and Middle East region. In the 24 years since its founding, Skyline Middle East has provided countless services to clients in the industrial, commercial, public, and private sectors, growing to become one of the region’s leaders in the event and exhibitions industry.
Abdul has post-graduate degrees from the London Institute of Marketing, the Gulf Academy, and CIM in sales operations, marketing management, and marketing.

BIO OF ELIZABETH “LIZ” DELUCA

Journalist –  Global Sales & Marketing Leader – Catalyst for Cultural Understanding 

Elizabeth DeLuca is a global sales, marketing, and business development leader with expertise in a variety of industries including medical and healthcare, travel and tourism, technology, defense, consumer products and the trade show, event management and experiential industries. She has traveled to more than 50 countries throughout North America, Europe, The Middle East, and Asia.

For the past 24 years, she has held senior sales and marketing roles for leading trade show and event companies including Skyline Exhibits, Exponents (An Insta Group Company), Display Works, and XS Worldwide Exhibits.

Elizabeth has a Journalism degree from the University of Minnesota and certifications in Event Marketing Strategy and Hybrid Event Production. In addition, she holds certifications in Advanced Digital Marketing, Social Media Strategy, and Online Reputation Management from Shaw Academy.

Elizabeth is currently living in San Diego, California (USA) and loves international travel and writing.
